Life is too short, i've decided.
Which is more important to you? answer honestly:

A clean house or lunch with an old friend?

A washed car or a balloon fight with your siblings?

A guy's (or girl's) momentary affection or a lifelong friend?

An A in History or an interesting history of your own?

Knowledge of the life cycle of a flower or the scent of one?

Fitting into a size two or the occasional piece of chocolate cake?

TV or Books?

A boyfriend/girlfriend or a brother/sister?

Your teacher's approval or your parents'?

to get into a good college or spend your life doing something you love?

~*~*~that's one that really gets me. I'm in the 11th grade, so college is really weighing heavily on my mind, but why? yea yea, it's important, sure. I need an education so i can get a job so i can supposrt myself/future family. But why do i want to push myself into a college that will lead me to a life-long career that i hate? why does work always have to be everyone's number one priority? Mine isn't. I don't care how much my stupid guidence counselor pushes me, how much my teachers pressure me, how much media tries to sway me. My priorities are in order, and my number one is people. every and all people. my family first and foremost, my friends, strangers, even myself. i think helping others is a lot more importnat than getting into Harvard. So from now on making others, and myself, happy is Amy Roskelley's number one priority, i hope i can do it!

i love life and life loves me. sometimes life gets pissed at me and will trip me up a little, but we always make up in the end. If life really sucked why would we have Music and Flowers and Love?
