I'm kind of late saying so, but happy new year, everyone. ♥ Here's hoping it'll be a good one, right? My resolution is to go home. Maybe I'll get lucky and be just in time for my tournament!

You have tournaments back home?

Mmhm! I was the captain of my school's fencing club, so I competed a lot.

Fencing? That's with swords, right?

Oh...right, yeah! But there are lots of different types of fighting in my world, and a lot of them have tournaments. I think martial arts are probably most popular.

Heh. Tournaments are good for testing out your skill!

Have you ever won one before?

Yeah, they definitely are! It's also nice meeting people who have the same interest that way.

Yep! I placed first in last year's, that's why I ended up being captain of the team.

Uhh. ... I-I guess I've met a few good friends at the tournaments, too.

Wow! I've been in a couple, but I've never won one before. I usually get into the top eight, at least. Heheh.

I'm glad! I always thought that's what they're supposed to be for.

...Top eight?! Oh my gosh, they must be huge competitions!

Y-Yeah. You don't always run into friendly competition, though. ...

I guess they are! Probably one-hundred or so challengers at a time.

Hmm...I guess not. Some people take stuff like that really seriously.

I think I'd be intimidated by the size of that, haha!
