Happy 2013!

So 2012 had more positives than negatives for me--I was insanely worried about my mother and whether or not she would make it through her May surgery, but she did and she's in remission! I transitioned out of school with a job, which is a bigger accomplishment than "I graduated." Not only that, it's a job doing what I love and the more time I spend in it the more I know this is a perfect fit. Now I just need to find a more permanent position (with better pay) in the same field.

But until then--I have an apartment that I love and more social interaction than I know what to do with. I have money woes, but I'm not starving and I have the one thing that I've always wanted--independence.

Here's hoping 2013 is just as rewarding! And I wish you all a wonderful New Year as well!
