So I had this dream, I think probably fueled by the painkillers and too much Angel.
There was a battle between good and evil, unbeknownst to most people. You only knew you were a warrior in this battle when you were called. And everyone has special powers, but you don't know about those powers until you get called. Which is why there are people in the news all the time that heal miraculously from cancer, or can see through playing cards, because they are seeing a tiny bit of the powers they are imbued with.
Anywho, I was The Keeper. I kept the list of the members on the side of good, who they were, what their powers were, their true form, and their destiny, the part they were to play in the final battle. I didn't call them to action, that was the job of The Caller. I was just The Keeper. So, naturally, being the administrative professional that I am, I was turning that list into an Excel spreadsheet so that it could be more easily analyzed. The only problem is that the written list only had the titles of the warriors, The Keeper (warrior #1), The Destroyer, The Healer, The Manipulator. Only in my head were the names of these people. So I was making this list which, if in the wrong hands could be devastating.
I had the power to fly, to heal, and to move time, but only a little.
My brother had not been called to duty yet, and so did not know which side he was on, good or evil. And so Hibbsy, on the side of evil decided to put all these nasty ideas in his head about how getting me would be beneficial to everyone, that it was wrong for people to not know what they were capable of, and to not know what role they were to play. So as I'm leaving some house where I was working on the list, Seth and Hibbsy show up and tell me to surrender. I know that Seth is on the side of good (warrior #2 The Betrayer), but I can't tell him this, because it is not his time to be called to action. Which makes him mad, and he points a gun at me, and tells me to give up the list. I jump up on my car (sorry Rupert) and tell him to shoot. I say I would rather die than give up the list, that I am The Keeper, and I cannot fail on my only duty. Hibbsy yells, "Don't make this harder on him than it already is!" I crouch down to fly off, and I get attacked from behind, and fall unconscious.
I wake up sometime later, in the wreck of a red convertible, crashed into a tree. I get out of the car, and try to fly to safety, but realize that I can barely even float. More like an extended jump. And the list in my head is gone. I can't remember any of it. All of my powers, including the list have been sucked out of my head. I cry.
Then I woke up, and took some more painkillers, and hit on the cute redheaded guy at the front desk of the hotel. Good stuff.
