Leaving Vegas soon!
Checked into the Hilton Vacation Club today and do the timeshare pitch tomorrow. I leave Vegas on Tuesday and I'm heading to Moab. If the weather holds I'm going to take US 50 most of the way home and hope to back before my Mom's birthday on the 13th of March.
A week or so ago I discovered an awesome tiki bar in downtown Vegas so I've stopped there a few times to have a drink. Tonight, the first drink the bartender made me wasn't too strong, so I felt safe to have another. Well the second was a thick syrupy concoction so I drank it slowly and decide to play the video slots on the bar just to have something to do. Just played $5. Won $65 -- Yay! Okay, not my biggest win ever, but it paid for my dinner at Lotus of Siam (great thai food) and my drinks at the bar :)
Currently, mediawise -- I'm reading the Foundation Trilogy by Asimov, as part of my plan to start reading more.
Also, I'm addicted to HBO's new show, Luck. It's great, especially the way the races are filmed. Every time there's a race I'm sitting here holding my breath with my heart pounding away.
