Watch the Throne
So apparently I'm a rather bad Kanye West fan because I had no idea this collab album with Jay-Z even existed until I stumbled across it on Spotify yesterday and it has been out since August. I have no idea what cave I have been living in to miss a top-selling album that debuted at no. 1 and has at least three singles, but well, there you go. Too much James Deen porn maybe??? *shrug*
Anyway, I listened to it twice today and then bought it on Amazon while sitting at a rest stop to download onto my Android phone while listening to it again on Spotify on my iPod. I think it may be my FAVORITE KANYE WEST ALBUM. Oh, some guy named Jay-Z is on it too. LOL
Okay, well, I've never given a flip about Jay-Z because I hate his voice and I cannot listen to rappers if I don't like their voices (although I love West more for his musical sensibility than his voice), but this album is so sonically WOWZERS it just somehow works to have their contrasting voices. Of course, it helps a lot that Kanye's hand is all over this album as producer.
