AAAAAH I GET A HORSE!
Johnny and I went to tour the stables where we want to move Angel, and they look just wonderful.
The paddock (what I can afford) doesn't have shelter, but she'll have a blanket. It's 50'x150' or so, so she'll have room to wander around, but not quite enough to really stretch her legs probably. The fencing is all hot tape. Hopefully she'll learn to respect it, and not just ignore it (thanks, Magic, for making me paranoid).
The lady who runs the place will feed 2x a day as long as you provide food and instrucitons on how much to feed. There's a covered hay storage barn too. Feed supposedly runs at about $80-$90 a month out here.
There's an open box with cross ties in it in the barn, for grooming when the weather's nasty. There's a gate from the covered barn area to access the covered arena. Yay winter riding arena!
There's a big outdoor arena that has awesome sand footing so it's ok to ride in even if it's been raining. It is pretty big, too. Yay! Someone had set up weave poles and barrels in it when we were out there.
They are putting in an
"extreme cowgirl" course. Right now it looks a bit like a horse-sized version of one of those dirt-bike parks, or
this x5.
Johnny is really excited, I'm excited, and I can't wait to get her out here! Yaaaaaay~!
