coachella weekend my friend
LAst week was nuts and I can already tell this week will be too.
Weds night was amzing cuz i got to hang out with ernie and then Sarah and the boys. there was split second dancing...then cuisine by andy and an amazing attempt to create pickle ads, steve madden ads, and sillyness in general.
I jetted around town trying to finis projects and print pictures enough to end up at work on friday night antzy to get to coachella.
I had been debating the entire week if it was wise of me to go since it was going to set me back 2bills and 3/4 and i had a ton of homework to do . After talking to my sister I decided I would go saturday and stay at andrews while everyone went to the festival during the day so I could do homework.
As it turns out i got a ride from melissa to Andrews parents which is really less a house and more a mini resort. As soon as i got there I felt so great to be out of LA for a couple days and the desert weather really helped the feeling.
It was absolutely perfect.

realizing no matter how much we plan out and set times we never stick to them
Lady sovereign started things off right.
heard the walkmen from a far and they sounded alright
wolfmother was cool but way too packed for a band no one had heard of 2 months ago
Animal collective w as nice to just lay and unwind to
clap your hands... was rather disappointing
random meeetings with people you didnt know would be at coachella are funny
Sigur ros set the mood for the next part of the evening. (at sunset )
Next was ladytron which Im mad I didnt get to see all of b/c the last songs that i saw were so good. lets just say the ememories came rushing back
Cat power was after that was really really mellow.
I caught some of depeche mode but was pretty disappointed. maybe im not that big of a fan.
after that we met at the virgin tent and proceeded to DAFT PUNK!!
aaammmmazzzing!! I was hoping for human after all the entire set and wanted them to end with it and so they did!
it was full of geometric visuals and felt nonstop.
Rebecca and i jumped in the pool after we got home. something I havent done in about 2 years.
I decided to go home the next day with rebecca so i could make it to little tokyo in time to visit an exhibit for Isamu noguchi.
i got home around 2 from the desert and jetted at 2:30. i got to little tokyo and a bum tried to sweet talk me which was weird. The exhibit was really well laid out. I had lunch afterwards and watched japanese woman do kareoke in the promenade. Then headed over to American apparel for a couple things then over to the new dior homme store and then home. I passed out directly afterwards
