When I saw him, ten days ago, the doctors thought he had two months... but in fact he died last Tuesday morning. His wife & son & sisters were all with him (they had kept him at home where he was happiest). The cancer moved so quickly, but luckily slowly enough so that his son could return from Sweden and his sisters could make it there as well.
OH NO! I'm glad though he was able to be with his family, and at home. I think when someone has a terminal illness like that, allowing them to be home with their family around them is better than being in some hospital.
I know your cousin left this world feeling all of the love his family had for him.
It is one of those lose/lose things... he was starting to be in a lot of pain, so it is just as well that he slipped away quickly. But of course he was only 64, which seems awful young (well, to me anyway... since I'm 63!).
But I'm glad his wife, son & sisters were all there with him, that means everything.
