politics

To me politics comes down to various issues, and although I hear pundits/candidates complain about 'single issue voters', I find that I have many many issues that are vitally important to me. I would love to do a poll... but I don't think I'm read by enough people to poll...

My hot button issues are:
1. Voter Suppression
2. Women's Reproductive Rights
3. LGBT Rights
4. Education (better grade school education AND college tuition reform/aide)
5. Environment
6. GMO (labeling and controlling GMO foods)
7. Internet Freedom
8. Unions (our first line of defense for minimum wage & benefits for workers)
9. Anti-war (ending the war in Afghanistan and avoiding future involvements)
10. closing Gitmo (Guantanamo Bay) and other illegal detention centers, ending torture, obeying International law.

What have I left out?  I'll bet there are other topics I am passionate about....
edited to add: Oh I realized I missed out two that most people care about:
11. jobs (we need work on infrastructure and building more/better schools)
12. Health care (I actually want socialized health care and I would vote on that issue.
OMG I cannot believe I left out this EXTREMELY important issue:
13. Immigration: for the record, I am in favor of free and open immigration.
I firmly believe that people who can get their act together to come here, have a right to come in and try their best to make a life here. If they become criminals, then sure, they should be deported. BUT if they become hard working citizens who want to raise their children here (which I believe the vast majority do) then they should have an easy and quick path to full citizenship.
In my opinion (and yeah, I have no statistics for this) immigrants are HUGE job creators. From what I've seen, immigrants open stores and restaurants. We do not have an over population problem, and having new hardworking, motivated, and energetic new citizens is all good.
