my travels so far...

I've been out traveling for more than two weeks, and getting tired of it... and really tired of the rain cloud that has been dogging my steps. Have you heard of Al Capp's jinx Joe Btfsplk, because I'm beginning to think that that is me.
Do you think this trip was a big mistake? *sigh*

I don't think your jinxed with the rain. It's just that time of year.

Where are you heading after Texas?

well Texas was the goal... unless or until I move on to NYC,
I was thinking of staying for months, but now I'm starting to have second thoughts and I'm not sure what to do.
I'm feeling a little undirected.

Understandable. It's hard to just pick up and leave like this. I think you'll get your bearings in a few days. It's likely just a little overwhelming to you right now.

I really shouldn't whine... I'm capable of changing my mind and trying something else...
and at least I'm not stuck out in the rain, truly homeless!

If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with some rain (I know, it's come to something when I'm quoting Dolly Parton).

The trip may not be what you planned but I very much doubt it'll be a mistake. You would have regretted not taking it.

I'm just feeling displaced... even lj won't post my posts!
sigh...
I did need to leave California, so change was needed... but I'm not sure I wanted THIS change....
Can you guarantee there will be rainbows? Eventually?

I don't think your trip was a big mistake! Look at all the adventures you're having! You'll figure out where you're supposed to be and what you're supposed to be doing, it will happen. I would love to be able to just travel like you're doing.
