North American Discworld Convention

 I checked into the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Convention Center today around noon and I have to say that it is awesome and NADCON is even awesomer.

That does sound like a great deal of fun! They never let us use the pool at D*C and the free food is always just junk, chips and cookies, never anything nice to dip and fruit and stuff!!

I can't wait to see pictures!

I was kind of shocked that Terry Pratchett helped pay for the amazing buffet of great free food!

This is easily the best organized convention I've ever been to... they have one room that is all set up with cardboard life sized figures of characters with whom you can have your photo taken... and cool props and sets which create backdrops for photos.... I'm having a great time.

I think this sounds like the nicest place you have attended a convention at. Sounds like you are having a lot of fun.

I think it would be impossible to not have fun here! I would be happy just hanging out in this hotel, even without all the great activities and people to talk to.

I love hanging out in hotels. LOL, the few times I've traveled, I've always found it so much fun.

yeah, hotels really are the best:
someone else makes your bed, cleans your bathroom, and brings you whatever you want to eat and drink.... I could spend the rest of my life in hotels in Europe just hanging out.
But then I am very lazy (I must have been a cat in a past life).
