awesome TV
Saturday is my day to catch up on a lot of TV while still digesting (enjoying) the latest episode of Dollhouse, and I have to tell you about the total awesomeness that was this last week's South Park, seriously, click on that link (in the title) and watch the Pirates episode "Fatbeard" (it has none of the bathroom humor you hate, it IS totally awesome with an ending you ... well I don't want to spoil it).
I also found last night's Dollhouse to be awesome, and I hope people are still watching, because IMO it is just getting better and better!
I loved Eliza's performance... and the concept of someone downloading their memories/personality/whatever so they could 'come back' in a new body (you know if that technology is possible then someone in one of the many Dollhouses is using it!).
Of course whether this is actually something that would be satisfying or not is highly debatable (and really interesting)....
Oh and how awesome was Victor! He walked just exactly like someone who rode horses all of their life!
I found Paul Ballard very dark, his self loathing and taking it out on Mellie is very disturbing.
But Topher totally cracked me up, I haven't noticed many people saying this: but he totally imprinted Sierra with himself! She moved like him, and talked like him, and could beat him 1/2 the time at all the games they played! She was probably no more capable of being a sexual object as he was capable of making a move on her! They were perfect playmates because there was a perfect meeting of the minds! My theory is that he is a high functioning autistic who cannot relate to other people, but he CAN relate to someone exactly like himself... it is sad, it shows how entirely isolated he is (kind of like poor Claire, the doctor played by Amy Acker, who never even goes home anymore, she sleeps at the Dollhouse and has no other life).
So Margaret put herself into Echo, and Topher put part (most?) of himself into Sierra, and what was Paul putting into Mellie (his disgust, anger, frustration?). This latest episode of Dollhouse was great!
I'm enjoying House, continuing to deal with the unexpected death...wait, is this a spoiler?
