too weird

last night I sat through a really dreadfully stupid episode of Supernatural because I had been informed that Summer Glau would be on.  But Summer was NOT in the credits and she wasn't on the show.  I felt kind of cheated, and complained to IMDb (who had stated it) but then found out that CW had her listed in their official listings, and TiVo had ( Read more... )

Actually I had watched 'Supernatural' the week before, when Amber Benson was on playing a Vampire, and I didn't hate it, but last night was an incredibly bad story and then the added disappointment of the false advertising....
At first I thought it was just IMDb (which gets everything wrong) and I commented to them about the episode here:

but then I found out it wasn't just IMDb that had bad information, the official CW site had Summer listed as being on last night's episode (how do you accidently list an actress you didn't hire?), so I'm starting to think it was some kind of joke by Ben Edlund on the Firefly/Serenity fans.

At any rate, yes, I loved Summer's role on the 4400, an interesting character with a really cool arc. And I hear she is a semi-regular on The Unit (a little too military for me, but I'll record it so I can see what her character is like). And she is suposed to be on ABC Family cable this Sunday in 'The Initiation of Sarah'.

I'll admit that I also watched all those shows for Marsters, and I'll probably tune into anything he is in in the future (I'm only keeping up with Lost so I'll be able to see Nathan Fillion when he appears). I do like to follow the careers of the actors I loved on the Whedonverse, but most of them are pretty disappointing shows.
