So yesterday was awesome, and just sums up what I love most about UR. First, I had my classes, which were excellent, as always. In my bio discussion group, we spent half an hour talking about how our professor, Bob, wants us to call him Bob. It was great! And then I had voice lessons at Eastman. Half an hour, but every single time I feel like I'm really GETTING somewhere. It's incredible. I can actually sing! And it sounds GOOD! I love it! After voice lessons, I went home to my dorm ( funny how Hoeing is already home. ) and picked up my Interlibrary loan books. :) I love having a library that's open till 3 in the morning every night but friday and saturday. Then I went back to Eastman, met Diane (who is so much like me it's scary) for coffee at Java's, the good coffee shop in Rochester. Then as we were walking back to the bus stop, we ran into our friend Steve's friend Ian, who's an Eastman student, and who we run into almost every time we're there. He was heading to his concert, and invited Diane and I along. So at the last minute, we decided to go to a concert of the Eastman Symphony Orchestra. It was awesome. They're really amazing. They played on of Mozart's piano concertos, and the pianist, and conductor, were so into the music, it was so great! And then there was one violinist in the back row of the 1st violin section who looked like she was so very nonplussed to be there. She honestly looked like she was thinking of what groceries she needed to buy. For the entire half hour beethoven symphony. some people. But Ian was quite good, and I need to get him to sign my program next time I see him.
Then Diane and I got home, wandered campus, met up with friends, ate dinner at about 11:00, and went to sleep. What an excellent day. :)
So there, that's my update. :)
