*growl* I hate closing.
Yet another night I had to close at work. Now, I understand that we all have to take shifts we don't like in order to help make the department run smoothly, but why is it that all these new people are getting MY day shifts, and I'm stuck working the closing ones. When I was hired, I was hired for the 10-4 shift. That's what I was thoroughly trained to to, and I'm good at it.
But that doesn't matter too much.. the whole night, I mean. I have 4 hours left of work before i take my vacation. I am off friday and saturday, then I leave sunday for New Jersey. i am gonna be down there till the 8th, when I am leaving to come up here again for... SailFest. Yay. I am not working that weekend, because I am not moving my car. I don't have a driveway to park in, dammit, and I live close enough to downtown that I won't find a place to park all weekend till like.. 11pm. So I ain't leaving. Anyone who wants to go out will have to come get me. Hmph. *crosses her arms and pouts like a spoiled brat*
I went out the other night and saw Land of the Dead with my friend, Jeremie. We went to the theater in Lisbon..such a nice one, too. The movie kicked ass. I am promising myself I am gonna see more movie in the theaters. I love doing that.
My car broke. Threw a rod. Meaning, I need a new engine. Luckily, it's a volvo. And I live in a volvo household. With a volvo fix-it-man. So he has a spare fucking engine for me. And a spare volvo to use while he gets around to fixing mine. :P :P
Tomorrow is the Esker Point beach concert! Is anyone local planning to go?
