Wales
It's update time party people...
well, a quick stare at my recent updates tells me that i've got pretty much all of august and september (thus far) to cover...eeek...
Well, to sum up, WALES! 9th-13th Aug, the 'pirate crew' being myself, Phil C, Max, Alex J, Toad, Zander, Trudi, Fi and Red...
- Eventful drive-down- due to everyone trying to shove 99% of their worldly possessions into Toad's car, we had to chuck half of it out at MK (not literally, though it was tempting...) and leave the guitar at mine...Then we got a lil lost and took a 80 mile detour, and spent a few minutes driving endlessly around sunny Telford. But eventually we crossed the border and I mastered the mapwork (drive forward. yup, carry on.) and Wales is very pretty and green, and better than Telford.
- Fish- the mystery is solved! Due to global warming, some freak storm splattered random fish all over Wales!
- Cows were friendly, esp the first day when they blocked our way out of the field. Scary when we realised that one of them was a bull, and suspected it might wish to bull-rush (haha) us to oblivion. So Toad risked his bollocks to brave the fence whilst i prepared to make a run for it. After Toad's heroic distraction from behind enemy lines we made it! Go us...
- Lion Hotel pub, very good pub, good food and many good times, with nostaglic Newnham/school in general-inspired stories, bizarre roleplays (Podwick has a very long...Nose), and Philm tales.
- The troubles with having three Alex's, and subsequent renaming (Zander, Toad and Alex)...
- We attacked the beach dressed as pirates, with a boat, Max had Muppets music, and we got some amusing comments from passerby's..."mummy, are they *real* pirates?" Hell yes.
- BBQ on the beach by night, with shooting stars and Nightwish. Brilliant.
- *That* shop in Pfelli (fuck knows i ca'nt spell Welsh towns), with ingenious assortment of swords and furntiure, and my goblet!
- The 'reading books' inneundo. Violent laughter probably waking up the entire campsite.
- Beach cricket.
- The Shed, a big shed, in the middle of no-where...
I've so forgotten something...but it was a great hol.
