Quite an interesting batch of newcomers this time around.

A large amount of people had been sent away. If we are here rather than the more controlled environment of the other compound, I wonder what the disappearances mean.

Usagi-san, I see your ninja skills are improving.

Not only kindred but kindred spirits. This old man's glad to see these words from you, Sasuke.

I see no other direction.

What do you plan from here on in? To return there, or to adapt here?

You and Itachi are here. There is nothing left in that ruined world for me.

You know what Itachi's future is. He's really not worth mentioning in that list of who is here.

There may be something worth going back to.

When we return, if we are truly returned, it is assumed in the same place where you were taken from. However whether it is in the same state as you were taken from is not as easily determined. If biological changes had occured and were reversed than it would not be mere time meddling. Like you said, time is so malleable. The body is far more definate and real.

Perhaps these changes would make things less rotton upon return, but there is no promise that when one leaves Econtra they are returned nor is there a promise of much anything else.

Regardless of his future, his presence is important.

Should the opportunity arise, I'd consider returning. If you chose to return then I'd go with you, if you chose to stay then I'd stay. I don't have the power to save that world alone, but what power I do have would be devoted to protecting you. That's a little promise I made myself a long time ago.

In the meantime, survival depends on adapting to this place. And it's not all that bad here, anyway.

That promise doesn't say much for you. And I'm not sure which I would choose in the long run. That choice needs more consideration, which requires answers of questions always left unanswered.

Itachi, I noticed he had a lot of disdain towards you when I last spoke to him. Perhaps not any longer, however.

He does not remember me, or anything to do with me. That was how he saved me. A trade, you could say.

Hey, I'm in pretty good shape for a guy my age!

Kids these days...

...

So Itachi... He traded his memories of you to extract the snake? That is... so typically Itachi. And I would love to learn exactly how that worked.

Unless he forgot me too, I doubt his dislike has faded any. Knowing what you do now, I'm sure you can see where our personalities clash. He wouldn't want you anywhere near me. I'm sure if he remembered you he wouldn't have allowed us to meet in the first place.

And that age would be? I'm mildly curious. Well over 90.

One named Ichihara Yuuko. Her magic follows the principle of hitsuzen. Quite litterally bound to it.

It wouldn't have mattered what he wanted. I would have met you either way. I was his younger brother, not his puppet. My will is my own.

Perhaps he finally realized that I have grown up.

Well that's sort of a difficult question to answer... I mean, I was born over a century before your time but that's not really how long my body's existed.

Ichihara Yuuko... You should introduce us sometime.

How is that? You look exactly the same as that representation of you at the Valley of the End.

Perhaps I will.

(( isn't he cute when he's curious? ))

That statue makes me look a little chubby...

I control the way time affects my body, so really, in a way, it hasn't existed for more than thirty years.

Time Space Jutsu, than. To my last understanding the only person capable of that type of jutsu in any remotely advanced way was the Fourth.

Interesting.
