March: No, not Artificial Intelligence--American Idol. Anybody else watching this season?
April: Right. So. I was enjoying the chapter, the flashbacks, the image of Kurenai and Asuma's baby, all that good stuff.
May: Longest conversation with the Kyuubi ever, methinks?
June: Aw, come on!
July: Mito appearance=love.
August: MY NEW FAVORITE CHAPTER.
September: Okay, so in a fit of procrastination-induced madness, I have decided to try and write something pairing Shisui with the weirdest person possible.
October: Well, it's better than complaining about work or doing coursework like I'm supposed to be doing, so there you go.
November: *sigh* And here we go again.
December: Not too much to say...Naruto's still sounding more like his old self, which is nice.
...My God, guys, did I seriously just ramble about Naruto chapters all year?

...17? That's it? *is sad* Well, I did open a fictionpress account this year and wordvomited all over it, so maybe that had something to do with it. And I did finish JHFP.

I'm really, really partial to Brother of the Bride. Either that or let go your reason.
Most underappreciated story:
Mm, I'm generally happy if one person likes my weirdo stuff. I guess I was kinda hoping more like-minded freaks would find as beautiful as you are, aka That One Fic Where Shisui Uses Itachi As A Substitute For Mikoto and...yeah.
Most fun story to write:
BOTB or lgyr, again. The latter because yay, creepy! And the former because I love writing bitchy!Sasuke and badjokes!Shisui at each others' throats. That will possibly never get old.
Story I wrote to fix things:
Don't pretty much all of my ItaShi fics count as fixfics? I guess you could say either of my Nightmare Inspector stories count, seeing as they're meant to fix the last-minute "I love you like a sister" twist.
Oddest story:
"Ears and Tails" is pretty odd. Basically it's just Matt and Mell discussing chocolate bunnies and blaspheming all over the place. "Crush" is probably odd just by virtue of being a ShisuixSasuke fic.
Hardest story to do:
Getting myself to finish Job Hunting for Psychopaths was a pain. In terms of newly published stories...well, lgyr was hard to restart (I wrote the beginning in October 2010), but it wasn't bad once I got the ball rolling.
Most mining of your own history in one story:
Got nothin'. My original stories got all of that this year.
Themes, or absence thereof:
Uh...creepy relationships are the way to go. *thumbs-up* Seriously, the vast majority of my 2011 fics consisted of some screwed-up romances. I wonder what that says about my state of mind...
Sexiest moment (excerpt):
Ack, this question again...um...I still don't have much of a handle on sexy. I thought dark!Shisui in lgyr was a fairly seductive character, if that counts?
Crackiest moment (excerpt):
"And," Shisui practically yelled, "that time on the field trip to D.C.-you know, when you asked me to go with you to the Holocaust Museum instead of the American History Museum like the rest of the class and I had nightmares for weeks?"
"It was educational!" Itachi protested, albeit weakly. "The American History Museum is nothing more than a museum of pop culture."
"Exactly! I wanted to see the original Ruby Slippers, dammit!"
A passerby with six-foot wings and surgically implanted horns caught Shisui's exclamation and looked at them like they were the strange ones. Itachi felt a small part of his soul wither and die.
Actually, let's just save time and say that the entirety of The Undiscovered Country was a big bowl of crack.
Favorite dialogue (excerpt):
"We are in the wrong place."
"It's kinda hard to mistake a convention for anything else, Itachi."
"The words 'insane asylum' come to mind."
Shisui rolled his eyes. "Give me a break. Everyone here's as normal as you and me."
Itachi stared at him. "You are my cousin. We are both male. And we are sleeping together. Please, explain to me how that is in any way normal."
"We-uh-well first off, we're not technically related-"
"I just saw a man," Itachi interrupted, "wearing a Japanese schoolgirl uniform and a long pink wig. Surrounded by girls asking for his picture. How is that normal?"
"See?" Shisui asked smugly. "As normal as you and me."
More TUC crack! Either that or one of Shisui and Sasuke's exchanges from BOTB.
Favorite lines (excerpt):
I like this bit from lgyr, for some reason:
"Why should have I tell you what's wrong with me?" Shisui asks, dark gray eyes boring coolly into Itachi's own. "You already know."
He is the one to cut the conversation short this time, leaving Itachi in the cold and the dark. Itachi, for his part, avoids weighing the implications of Shisui's words by wondering how much more of his dreams can bleed into reality before he snaps completely.
Fic goals:
Write moar! Write better! The usual stuff. Finish off Disagreements, aka the last serial I have going. After that, who knows?
