Wow its been a while...
Goodness its been a while since I updated my LJ.
Basically my summer has kind of sucked.
I was supposed to have an awesome summer fling, but the guy turned out to be a dick. I've been seeing someone recently, but he's kind of turning out to be a prig. Why can't I just have a normal relationship?
Last semester was so brutal I really needed the summer off, but I didn't get it. Instead, I spent most of my mornings in a Gen Chem class, and most of my afternoons getting my ass kicked by homework.
Needless to say when you are going to class from 8:15-10:30 or 1:30, then off to play practice by 6, nobody really wants to hire you for a summer job, especially when your availability changes from weekends to weeknights halfway through the summer. So I spent all summer fretting over the fact that yet again, I didn't have a chance to get a summer job and earn any money, so now I'm dirt poor.
All of my Mondays were spent taking care of my recovering mother. Any time I was with my family all we talked about was Mom. In fact, I'm getting rather sick of talking about my mom.
I lived in Vadnais Heights with a friend all summer, which really cut down on the summer riding time. Usually I attend around 15-20 shows a summer. This summer I got to go to four with my horse. And I don't think I'm going to get to go to Champ Show. Dad says there isn't enough money, esp. since the bill for Drake came out to 10K, plus I need a new computer.
There were three hightlights:
1. Bye Bye, Birdie!
2. Living with Dana and Breinn was fun a) because Dana is a lot like me and b) Breinn is so cool
3. My sister Erin is getting married next summer
Now I must go back to school and suffer through yet another semester, and hope I can get a job on campus because Dad won't let me have the car again at school.
