Yikes!
I just realized its been a really long time since I've written ANYTHING on my livejournal. So here's an update:
I had a really bad weekend last weekend, my mom was injured in an accident in Texas and will be down there at least until I come home from school. I did get to talk to her yesterday, but she doesn't remember a lot, like she didn't remember that I was at school in Des Moines. But she's getting better every day, so we're optimistic. Also, I found out my friend Chance was killed in a car accident early Sunday morning, some idiot was heading north in the southbound lane on 35E north of St. Paul. This weekend is going much better, however. We took Rodney in to the vet for his last ultrasound which showed nothing alarming. He's always going to have a little scar tissue around the initial injury, but nothing else seemed to be wrong. Oh, and the vet on staff was INCREDIBLY hott. Tall, dark, and handsome if you get my drift. Too bad he was married. Rodney also got a new set of shoes, we're trying steel since the therapeutic farrier at Iowa State said the aluminums were making his feet fall apart. So we'll see how that goes.
As soon as I got back from the vet, my friend David from Milwaukee showed up. I'm so glad he came, I really missed him. He drove the 6 hours from Milwaukee just to come see me, and he even has a girlfriend already. So far we've eaten at the Cheesecake Factory, smoked Hookah with a bunch of friends, had a "sleepover" at Adam's apartment, eaten at Gazali's, watched an STP, eaten at an Indian restaraunt (which I'm totally visiting more often), and watched Van Wilder. I'm not quite sure what we're doing today as he hasn't woken up yet, but I'm pretty sure he is going to go home. :'( Weekends always go WAY too fast. Couldn't I have just one more day?
Oh well, I guess it's back to the grind for me.
