Hey Everyone,
I'll try my best to write this in English so everyone can understand. We were blessed yesterday that Montreal was the first stop for the new Casualties Tour. And I've been personnaly blessed to see Jorge walking on the street during the afternoon, eating his 99 cents pizza and obviously, looking so sexy ;)
But okay, this is not the point....let's talk about the show. I've seen the band a couple of times in the past but I was glad that they came with a different setlist this time. First, they did a lot of songs from the new album so for me it was the first time that i was hearing them live. They also changed some intros which i think is very interesting. And of course, I was very impressed to hear Jake talking about a lot of political and social issues (medias, bagdad, W. bush) While listening to the show yesterday, I got upset while thinking about all these people who think the casualties are sell-out. I think anyone who would see them in show and pay a little attention could feel this very strong energy that comes out. It's the same thing as people who think Jorge is an ass-hole because "he doesn't talk enough to the crowd, blabla". My feeling is totally different. I'm sure that his position is not an easy one. As any creation process, you have to put yourself in a special state of mind. I guess he gets his inspiration from his personnal experiences and anger and that's maybe why beeing on stage sometimes looks hard for him. Anyways, I was worried for him yesterday because he looked like there was something going on in his mind. But maybe this can also be explained by the sad news we got about Johnny Ramone...
Of course, Rick, Jake and Meggers also did a really really good job and we should all say thanks to them for this! I still think that they are very good musicians...So, I suggest to everyone to take a look at this tour, even if you think you have seen them soooo many times...I'm quite sure you won't regret, cheers!
