I keep thinking I've posted when I haven't. Like almost weekly! -_-;
Soooo we adopted a dog! Finished the process and picked up Finn/Finnegan the night of February 23rd! He was from TN, and his papers say both he was an owner surrender and his birthday's 5/28/15. Puppy! So much energy. He loves being outside, and doesn't even care when it's raining! We were more worried about him than he was when there was a crazy thunderstorm that woke up both of us like the second night we had him. Liam wasn't sure if he needed to go out, so he went to let him; apparently Finn got maybe two feet out the door and then turned around and came back in. Lightning must've been close enough to leave a warning scent.
Last Wednesday morning, he went to the vet just to make sure everything was in order. We went to the same animal hospital we went to with Hooch. Apparently the first visit with a new pet is free, so that was nice!
Wednesday afternoon/night was not so nice. Just after 4, I had this sudden pain in my right side. It wouldn't go away, got a little worse, and started kind of spreading, so I freaked out a little and had Liam bring me to an ER. We left the house just after 6. Had my stomach x-rayed, blood tested, and eventually a cat scan. While I was waited for the cat scan, I threw up >.< *sigh* I went to a restroom shortly after the cat scan, and I wound up throwing up in the toilet. After all the pain and gross and waiting, I finally found out I have kidney stones. Grr. The report made it sound like I had four stones of various sizes, but I haven't seen any come out yet >.< Grr, again. I got prescriptions for two things (one's a pain killer to take "as needed"), and today's the last day for the main one.
Unfortunately, I crated Finn before we left, and I didn't latch it quite right, so when we asked my mother-in-law to stop in to feed him and make sure he was okay, he'd escaped. We've been trying leaving him out at night, but he keeps trying to sneak onto our bed when I have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Yesterday was Liam's birthday, so we tried crating Finn again while we went out with his mom. We were gone roughly 4 hours, and Finn, while still in his crate, managed to destroy two blankets and one of my tracing-paper templates. *sigh*
