My old glasses finally broke where the metal had weakened. I haven't heard yet if my new pair are done (I'm probably going to call when I finish posting this.)
Yesterday was miserable enough that Liam decided it was time to get the AC and fans from the shed. Got everything set up *right* before the sky decided to open up.
Today is day 28 of the Hero's Journey! Core exercises today. Almost halfway through!
I pulled another title from The Jar of The Unread last night. Far, Far Away by Tom McNeal. It was an ARC but now it's been out for two years. ^^; I'm about 40 pages in. When I started The Jar, 66 slips went into it, and now there are 47 left. I've made it my goal to get the box where the vast majority of The Unread are kept to be just one layer deep instead of two. The top layer still has 23 books. Some of them aren't in The Jar either. (The Box of The Unread is just one of those boxes you get reams of copy paper in. My dad nabbed it from work when it got emptied.)
My reading's picked up a little since my glasses went wonky. Goodreads says I'm three books ahead for my challenge goal. If I succeed my goal with The Box this year, I'll be almost 10 over my challenge goal. That'd be neat.
I'm still trying to work on my friend's plus-sized Peggy Carter costume. I really want it to look good! She rocks that era's style already, but what's out there for her size isn't always budget-friendly and usually has a way to go to fashionable. I'm not sure exactly what to charge for my time, but we're trying to keep the materials' cost down. That hasn't been too bad so far. (Actually, the girl who cut the fabric for her blouse gave us an extra yard! I didn't realize it until after I was home and had washed and dried it. Made it like $2.40/yd)
Ugh! I really hope my glasses are in. Otherwise I may have to find a place that I can pick up contacts. My optometrist's office is going to be closed and on vacation after today! >.
