Ding Ding Ding!
I just had the mother of all grand ideas, but first somebackground. I've been getting paid $300/month for my church job after taxes, but I just got a raise to $360/month which means that after taxes come out I'll end up getting about $330/month. If I teach four people voice lessons at $15/half hour four times per month I'll make $240/month. This means that I'll be able to make about $570/month over the summer. I'm excited because this means I probably won't have to getting a sucky restaurant or retail job! But you say "Emily, what if you can't get four students?" I would have to say that I already have 4, count them 4 people wanting lessons, and I might get more students. If I had 6 students I'd make about $690/month! Why is this so important you ask? Well, my parents can't give the combined $1,100/month I've been getting for living expenses. I'm going to hopefully only need $800/month, so if I make $600 then I won't be dirt poor. I'll be able to live and buy groceries and have internet and watch cable and sit on my ass in the air conditioning. Beautiful...I'm such a genius!
