So Carrie won American Idol. Did I not see it coming? Yes...Yes I did! Well, technically I thought Mario was going to win, but then he dropped out. But she was one of my picks, so I was sorta right! Oh, what are you looking at!
Anyway, I've gone back to work. Sticky Fingers is still Sticky Fingers, but like 1/2 of the staff is new, so I hardly know anybody. Apparently the managers acknowledged the fact that last summer we were under-staffed, so they hired more people. Good for them, maybe not so good for me? I mean, I need money, which means I need hours. On Sunday when I went to check my schedule, I only had four shifts. They were weekend shifts (weekend shifts = longer hours = more $$), but still only four. Last year I was pulling 50 hours per pay check. I need about 42 hours per week to make $300 per paycheck. The people that they've hired on the host stand are pretty nice. There's one girl who's been working there a month that attempted to tell me what to do. I don't think so! I rather nicely asked her at one point how long she had worked there and also started rambling about my past TWO years on the host stand. She backed down at that point. She's really a nice girl, but she needed to be put in her place and seniority needed to be established. I think I also managed to scare one of the new servers. I jokingly threatened him one night, and know he's always really scared to ask me for stuff. That's right...be afraid...be very afraid. I'M A BAD ASS SOPRANO WITH AN ATTITUDE!
Mentioning bad ass soprano, I went back to church choir tonight. It's always a change to go from a really good church choir to a a pretty bad church choir. Well, they're not really THAT bad, but they aren't FBC Macon. My standards are too high I guess. After choir I talked to Randy about subbing in when he's not there. I had mentioned it a couple of weeks ago and didn't get a response, but maybe he just didn't hear me before because he was really enthusiastic about it when I mentioned it tonight. I also asked him to keep his eyes and ears open for church jobs in Knoxville. He was really enthusiastic about me taking a church job in Knoxville and thought it was a great idea.
Maybe things are gonna work out okay for me! :)
