T. S. Eliot was wrong!
Indeed, far from being the cruellest month, April was a banner month for me. Very, very strange. First, my trivia team ("I Call The Big One Bitey") placed first in the biannual trivia challenge at the Children's Hospital Bazaar on April 17, and then on the 30th, my bowling team ("Shirley's Crew") won the Grand Aggregate .

Instead, I took it to work, and my coworkers customized it by adding a disproportionate paper airplane between the hands of the girl on top (I am the paper plane-throwing champion of my floor), and covered the large plaque beneath her with a Post-It reading "World's Biggest Banana" (since apparently I have a thing for big fruit). I am still trying to get over the shock of having my name on a trophy for quasi-athleticism.
And now...the rest of the year is just going to pale in comparison.
