The Deer Hunter. FUCKING GREAT FILM. Incredibly harrowing. I have new respect for Christopher Walken. He is God.
4) Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me
1. Gladiator. I love it. Never fails to get the tears flowing even if I've just got it on in the background while doing something else.
2. A Knight's Tale. What can I say? Feelgood film with Heath and Paul and yeah, I'm one happy puppy. The deleted scenes on the DVD should have been left in because we all want more of Paul and we all want more slash *g*
3. Brokeback Mountain. Yeah, I know it hasn't come out yet but DUDES! I've read the book (countless times), Ang Lee must be worshipped, and PEOPLE, Heath and Jake are in it! What's there not to like? (besides the lack of sex, but hey, that's not what this is about).
4. Donnie Darko. It confused the hell outta me when I first saw it but I managed to follow the plot and at the end, yeah I was blubbing at the end. It's the song that does it. Mad World. It's all about release, makes you think and you really feel for Donnie at the end and are happy for him that it's all over.
5. The Deer Hunter. If you haven't already seen it, SEE IT. It leaves you feeling empty and shaken even though you know what's coming at the pivotal point. Very traumatic but utterly brillant.
