I love sleeping in!

A couple of weeks ago, both of my arms and hands had broken out into a rash due to the amount of stress I was under. I know this is true because I had never been truely stressed about anything before. I have never been one to stay up all night panicing about something. If something bad happened, I brushed it off and forgot about it; nothing ever phased me. But the entire month of February has been insane, I had never been that stressed in my life. But this week has been a really good week, and my rashes are almost gone...

Anyway, this week has been pretty good overall. Monday I went to that Billy Joel concert and it was just what I needed; it made me forget about school and it was just a carefree three hours. Tuesday I got to sleep in, which was nice. Tuesday night I began studying for a test I had the next morning...and I thought I studied harder than I usually do, but I still made a C, so that means I still didn't study hard enough. I hate it when you think you tried hard but it's not enough. Oh well, I'll just have to try harder next time. Thursday...haha.....

I had to go with the pep band to Duluth, Ga, to play for the SEC women's basketball tournament and it was a great trip. Here are the highlights:
-Thursday morning I had to be on the bus by 6:45am so I set my alarm to 5. I also decided to pack in the morning after taking a shower. I wake up the next morning to Pedro calling me. "WHERE ARE YOU?!?!" That's when I realized that I must have set my alarm to 5PM instead of AM. It was 6:50 when he called. Haha, so in a panic, I grab most of my stuff and throw it in the closest bag to me: a walmart bag. I get in my car and speed to Goodwin (I ran a couple of stop lights). Because parking is lame as always, I had to run with my mellophone from halfway across campus to get to the bus. So imagine someone who just got out of bed, no shower, no makeup, with just a walmart bag as her luggage...I was pathetic-looking.
-The women's team lost the first game. The game was intense!! It was a close game from start to finish and USC ended up beating us by 2 points. I was sad that we lost, but at the same time, I was kinda glad we lost because I didn't pack enough stuff for another day. I'm proud of our women's team none the less....especially Kiki, she performed much better than she ever had.
-That night we went to the Mall of Georgia and Katie (trumpet player) and I got our ears pierced again, completely on a whim. It was her second hole and it was my third. Funny thing was that I didn't really care to get them done again, but I did it anyway.
-I got the meet a bunch of new people on this trip. Usually I would hang out with the people in my section, but it was just Pedro and me representin' the mellos, and I really didn't know anyone else from the pep band except for a couple of people. But yeah, I made several friends :-)
Anyway, it was a fun trip.

Last night I saw Music and Lyrics and it was pretty good. It was kinda stupid...like most chick flicks. Really not much to say about it, just two people trying to write a smashing-hit song for a white buddist 14 yr old pop star. They fail at writing a good song, but ultimately win in the game of life when Grant and Berrymore's characters realize they were meant to be together and make beautiful music together forever and ever [puke!!]. I don't really recommend this movie.

This coming week is going to be pretty easy. I need to make our softball team's game shirt. We're The Band Greeks. lol. I made the design last night and I have to go by All American Embroidery to get a price, get everyone's money, and get the order in so that we can get the shirts before our first game, which is coming up in a couple of weeks. I need to go home to get my softball gear so that I can practice. I'm excited!
