Word dump
So, let's talk about The Vampire Diaries.
I'm flailing all over the place at this show. THERE IS SO MUCH TENSION AND PRETTY THAT I CANNOT COPE. I'm only on ep 7, so this doesn't bode well for how I'm going to fare as it goes further.
The main debate I've had so far (with myself, because for ~some reason, crackfoxx doesn't seem to be that bothered) is which of the brothers is better looking. There's Stefan, who is all ~fit and mysterious (like someone else we know) and I was buying it. Right up until Damon came along and was awesome and had attitude and sunglasses, and I made my decision.

I'm not even into vampires that much, but I am into bad boys (see Cook) and Damon is, like, the baddest of the bad and this:

hits so many of my buttons that it's not even funny. I've not even gotten to the episode yet. IDEC.
Either way, no matter who is the hottest, the important thing to remember here is that there are no losers in this scenario of extreme pretty.
Anyway, on a less shallow note, the whole set up is extremely clever. Skins, take note, you want a love triangle, this is how you do it. I think what's got me most is K(C?)atherine. She's had about 5 mins total of screen time (so far, that is, I'm assuming she's coming back now that we know she's a vampire <- I only just got to that bit and I'm still trying to work out all the implications) and yet she's such a massive part of the dynamics and set up.
She influences everything, aside from the fact that she turned Stefan (maybe Damon as well? I don't know yet), but her relationship with Stefan and Damon still affects how they interact with each other, and in turn it still affects Elena and her relationship with Stefan and with Damon as well. OMG I COULD WRITE AN ESSAY ON THIS AND ALL IT'S LITTLE THINGS. (Oh, wait, I sort of have.)
So all of this has resulted in me writing fic for a non Skins fandom for the first time ever (you can find it here, it's Damon/Stefan, written for the Queerly Awesome ficathon).
Does anyone else watch this?!?! PLEASE SAY YES AND FLAIL WITH ME! BUT ALSO PLEASE DON'T SPOIL ME (UNLESS IT IS IN SEMI NAKED DAMON PIC/GIF FORM, IN WHICH CASE, SPOIL AWAY.)

PS. Glee. Season 2 is shitting all over season 1. I have yet to watch the latest episode, but I gather I won't be disappointed.
