A/N this was inspired by my childhood 8D
Little Hyukkie and little Hae had came to the beach to build sandcastles and swim. Sun was shining and it was a perfect summer day. There were some other kids from SJ kindergarten swimming and Kangin along with Leeteuk were keeping an eye on the kids so it was safe for them to swim. Hae wanted to build a sandcastle so he stayed on the shore. Hyukkie went swimming with Henry, a little cute kid with chubby cheeks. Henry got hungry soon so hed left to get something to eat from Leeteuk and Hyukkie was left with Kyuhyun, a smirking and precocious kid, whom Hyukkie really wasn’t that close with.
“You know, there might be a very big fish. And it can bite you. And the bite can inflame and your leg will fall off” Kyuhyun said to little Hyukkie, who was standing on the water ready to go swimming.
“You-you’re kidding r-right? Fishes d-don’t bite people…” Hyukkie said and looked around himself very worried.
“Don’t listen to him Hyuk, he-he’s just playing around” little Hae said from the shore where he was building a sandcastle.
“One of my friend’s cousin’s neighbour’s brother was bit by a fish and he’s now on a wheelchair” Kyuhyun said with a straight face.
Both, little Hyukkie and Hae looked at Kyuhyun with big round eyes.
“I’ve seen him. He still has those big teethmarks on his leg. If I were you, I’d get out of the water before the fish comes.” Kyuhyun added.
Kyuhyun laughed and left little Hyukkie to the water. Hyukkie was terrified and screamed when he felt something touch his leg.
“AAAAAAAAAAGH!”
“Hyuk, are you okay? Did the fish eat your leg?” Hae shouted.
“I-I’m okay. I just felt something to-touching my leg. I think it’s the fi-fish”
“Come to the shore Hyukkie!!”
“Haeeeeeeee!!! Uwaaa, I can’t move, what if the fish comes and bites me ;___;”
“No worries Hyukkie, I’ll save you!” little Hae said and tried to act brave, when really he was just as afraid of the fish as Hyukkie was. But he couldn’t let that big evil fish eat Hyukkie. No, Hyukkie was his and not that big stupid jerkface fish’s. He was going to save Hyuk so they can go jump on trampoline and eat strawberries. He couldn’t bear the thought of losing Hyukkie to some fish. Hae started to walk towards Hyukkie, all the time carefully checking the water ahead of him for any signs of the fish.
“No Hae, don’t come!! What if it eats you too?”
“B-But I have to save you Hyuk. So we can jump on trampoline and eat strawberries.”
“I really would have wanted to eat those strawberries with you Hae *sobs*”
“Hyukkie! You’re not dying, I’ll make an ingenious plan to save you” Hae said and started to think. This fish was big so it must be very clever. He had to come up with the most brilliant plan he’d ever made and it was a bit hard with Hyukkie sobbing and whining in the water. He had to distract the fish somehow so he’d be able to run to Hyukkie and take him to his arms and run to the shore. Should he throw Siwon to the fish? Hae didn’t like Siwon, he was always clinging to Hyuk. And he had muscles, he could fight the fish. Naah, mom would be very angry at him if Siwon got eaten by a fish. Hae was thinking hard, and then he got an idea.
“I’m sorry Hyuk, we have to throw your goldfish to the big fish so it gets distracted and I can save you.”
“Goldie ;____;” Hyukkie started crying. He loved his fish a lot, but if it was the only way to get him alive out of the water he should sacrifice her.
“I’m very sorry but there’s no other way. I can buy you a new fish next week!”
Hyuk stopped sobbing. He should be brave now and not let Goldie see him crying when she was leaving Earth.
“*hick* I-It’s o-okay *hick* Just do it fast so-so I can *hick* get out of here.”
Hae run to get Goldie. Hyuk always brought Goldie with them to the beach because he thought Goldie looked happier when she saw the lake. This was going to be Goldie’s last time seeing the lake with Hyukkie. When Hae brought her in his hands, Hyukkie started sobbing again.
“C-can I say *hick* goodbye to her?”
“Okay, but do it fast, I don’t want that fish to eat you while you’re saying goodbye to Goldie.”
“I really loved you Goldie *sob* you were awesome fish, I’ll never forget you and all moments we shared to-together.” at the last word Hyukkie’s voice cracked and tears flowed freely down his cheeks.
“Hyuk, get ready. I’ll throw her on count to three and then I’ll run to you. Here we go, bye Goldie.” Hae counted from one to three and on third he threw Goldie few feet away from Hyuk and ran to him fast. When he got to Hyuk he took him to his arms and run to the shore, where he fell down, Hyuk under him.
“Ooomf. Sorry Hyuk *pant*”
“It’s okay, thanks for saving me!” Hyuk said and hugged Hae tight. He was grateful that Hae came to rescue him from that evil fish which could’ve eaten him. Donghae was his knight, Hyukkie thought and blushed.
Hae felt Hyukkie hugging him tight and hugged him back. He was glad that Hyuk was in his arms and they could still jump on trampoline and eat strawberries together.
“Hae, you can let go of me now.”
“oh. Oh, sorry!”
“It’s okay. Hey, you said something about strawberries, I’m hungry!”
“I’ll get to eat them all by myself since I’m your knight and I just saved you.”
“Haeeeee, not fair!” Hyuk said and pouted. Hae did the mistake to look into his eyes and gave in immediately.
“Okay, first one there gets more strawberries” Hae shouted and started running.
“Hae!”
They both laughed and run to Hae’s home where the strawberries were waiting. Everything was perfect and normal again, with them playing together without worrying about tomorrow.
A/N#2 whew, got it done 8D. This is my first ever posted fanfic, and this idea came to my mind when I watched little kids swimming on a lake. And yes, this is inspired by my childhood too. I was always afraid that a fish would come and bite my toes when I was swimming :D
