questions (not necessarily requiring answers)... 1)is it necessary to do a mass de-friending when you could just keep it specifically to the people causing drama? 2)isn't the cool thing about LJ that you get to know things about people you know IRL that just don't necessarily come up when you're talking in person? 3)What is to say that someone you met on LJ and now hang out with may not cause drama in some way in the future, and in that case will you remove them too? even though LJ has obviously proven its good qualities along with its bad
I don't really know which of your categories I fit into, so I suppose I will just wait and see if I'm removed. But just so I'm not taken as being passive-aggressive or anything, I will simply state, that I think you are an interesting person, whom I would like to get to know better, and since there seem to be obstacles to that happening in person at the moment, LJ has served as a good (and easy) method of keeping semi-updated in the meantime. So - would I like to keep reading - yes. Will I be heartbroken if you edit me - no.
All of those questions make sense. I think this was more my way of a sounding board because of the crap that happened. Basically one of my friends said that something was said about my brother by another friend. Dave in turn decided to try to drag me into the middle of it, and quite frankly I've had just about enough of the way he's been acting lately.
That's true about people you meet on LJ causing drama. I've seen it happen. The difference is I think when you meet people on LJ they actually take into account that you (figuratively speaking) take your journal seriously as do they. Unfortunately it seems to be the people who don't take their's seriously who cause all the drama.
