Hey yall! Gawd, I didn't realise how much I use the internet till I left for WI! But that's another story for another day. I'm just here to recap my trip for you to read and for me to look back in a few years and reminse (I don't care if that's right or not).
Well, I conquered my fear of flying. I flew from Charlotte to Cleveland, then from there to Green Bay. I thought switching planes was going to be hard, but it wasn't! I managed to grab a Twix for my dinner and my second plane boarded at about 8pm. My ears hurt like you wouldn't believe on the planes, and always in the middle of the flight, despite the fact I was chewing gum nonstop to ensure that wouldn't happen. Ah well, I had my iPods and also the latest four Clique books to keep me company and give me something to do. I even got those plastic wings for first-time flyers. Whoot, go me!
I landed in Green Bay at about 9pm local time (I flew across a time zone), and Lauren and her parents were waiting for me. I met up with them and then we went to get my 36.5 pound suitcase (they had previously weighed it). We waited for EVER, and when it didn't come out of the conveyer, we went to the Continental guy and asked about where it was. We then filed a missing case thing, or whatever it's called with them, and they said that with luck, it had just missed the plane and should arrive the next day.
Well, I was upset, hungry, and had nothing necessity-wise with me, so Lauren's mom decided to take us out to eat. We went to Perkin's, and had the most hilarious waitress named Tanya (lemme know if you want to know about her, she was a hoot!), then went to Wal-Mart where her parents bought me a shirt for the next day, along with other items (makeup, etc.) to get me through. Then we got to their house, where her parents tucked in, but Lauren and I went into the guest room (aka mine), where she played her ps3 and I got online (shocker!) till about 5am.
The next day, Lauren, me, and her parents went to the mall, where I bought an Elle necklace (if you've seen LBTM, you know what I'm referring to), a pair of shoes, a glitter eye pencil, and the best lippy EVER, then went to Burlington Coat Factory and got two jackets, a tank top, and two shirts, and Kohls, where I bought a dress. I also got to meet her grandpa, who was hysterical!!
We went out to a steak place I don't recall the name of, buuut they had sweet tea! so that was awesome, and they played a Taylor Swift song cause I requested it.
When we get home from dinner, my luggage had arrived! I was really excited to get my stuff back, especially since my Julie stuff was in there and I didn't want to lose any of it. I unzipped my case to find everything.. soaked in conditioner! Those stupid baggage handlers must have thrown my case around and caused my conditioner to explode all over everything (almost), including my camera! Lauren's dad managed to clean it out, but it was damaged beyond repair. I did manage to get pics of the Packers stadium in Green Bay though, but other than that, it was history.
I needed a new camera anyhow.
I don't really remember what we did on Saturday, but I think we watched the Julie and Carol specials, and I remember having to turn them off cause I was exhausted.
On Monday we went to Door County, which is known for everything cherry. You name it, they have it in cherry flavour. It was about a two hour drive but it was a blast!
My dad and sister came up on Tuesday, and we went out to dinner once they arrived at Chili's or however it's spelled. The downside being they didn't carry sweet tea, so I was forced to use a million Splenda packets to get the sweetness I'm used to. (Ask Lauren, I think she managed to get a shot of my sugar packet stack).
On Wednesday, we went to a cheese factory store, where my dad bought enough cheese for the entire fam. I got cheese dip which was fab! I still haven't had the heart to finish it. That night, Lauren's friend Samuel and his parents, along with Lauren's grandpa, came over for a cookout, which was fun. After dinner, Samuel, Lauren, and I played various ps3 games till he had to leave.
We had an early night, and then at about 8am the next morning, my dad, sister, and I left. We drove from WI to Kentucky, where we stayed the night, then on Friday drove from there to Rock Hill, SC where we stayer two nights cause we went to Carowinds Saturday. Where I made an idiot of myself by walking to get myself Dippin Dots (best ice cream EVER!!) barefoot and burned the bottoms of both my feet.
How did I make an idiot of myself? Well since I wasn't wearing my flipflops, I had to hop back and forth so my feet wouldn't catch fire infront of everyone. Got some stares... can't figure out why though... haha.
We got home yesterday, it was only a two and half hour trip home from Rock Hill. We dropped off our stuff, picked up Pooky from my grandparents', and came home to finally relax.
Whew... I've got a feeling this is going to be long... haha.
