cost me a freaking $34o. Then I thought I was good, since I NEVER get hit by customs for things sent by EMS, THEN BAM. Sunday morning, mr. post man comes to my door
"Hello, we have a package for ms emily __"
then I give him a stare like
and all I could think of was WAIT. ISN'T IT SUNDAY? oh shit man, is it not sunday?? is it monday?? oh fug, HOW LONG WAS I ASLEEP FOR?
and he's all "blah blah blah you have to pay $106.15"
"oh.. wait what? for customs?"
"yep"
so I scramble around for my CC because I HAVE LIKE NO CASH EVER and pay for the dang thing. then I ask him what day it was, and he said SUNDAY! Canada post works on sundays because it's getting closer to xmas, which I did not know.
So yea, customs WHY? 30% ???? REALLY? thanks for the kick in the ass. I really didn't need it.
It was marked as a gift.. so I don't know what went wrong. Should I just NEVER order from online shops ever again? I've NEVER gotten taxed before when I used shopping services & I've had many things shipped to me declared for quite a bit more.
Ok but whatever. It's gone and past. I HAVE NEW WORRIES. I ordered IW lucky pack B, so about $650 before shipping. If I get taxed on that, THAT WOULD BE 200 (I'm rounding all numbers here k bros) I cannot afford that. I seriously cannot.... ;_____;
There is nothing I can do. IW strictly states on their site that they won't mark down the value and whatnot, so I may have screwed myself over. sigh
I now have about 2K on my bill to pay off. I will be able to pay off 1K soon I hope..... and that leaves the remainder. If I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT pay it off on time, I will GO TO MY LAST ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT- quick poke plush commissions. They will be cheap (~100?) but I will not take on any things I consider hard. This will not happen until I have AT LEAST finished 4-5 more human plushies on my list. This may not happen at all, I don't know yet. I really fucking hate making pokemon, if you don't know already. But yea, I'm hoping I have everything sorted out soon. If the notion of making pokemon is really too dreadful for me, I'm going to get a part timer.
