My voting experience was wonderful. I walked to the polling place through crisp morning air made clean by last night's rain. A huge rainbow formed, which was quite inspiring. I got a ballot from two nice ladies and filled it out on the little polling desk (it wasn't even really a booth - no curtains or anything like that). Next to me a woman was filling out her ballot with such enthusiasm that it was causing all the little voting desks to rock slightly.
Afterwards I handed over my ballot (after getting a receipt - yes, a receipt!) and got my "I voted" sticker, then headed out. My polling place was at a school, so going in and coming out I was surrounded by children doing their thing before class.
There was no line, and the only delay was from the din in the cafeteria, which made it difficult for the ladies to hear the spelling of my name.
