Did some canning over the weekend.
2 1/2 cups crushed and hulled strawberries
1 1/2 cups crushed raspberries
6 cups granulated sugar (I used one cup of brown sugar instead)
1 pouch liquid pectin
1/3 cup chocolate flavored liquer
Simmer all this stuff together until it is hot, then mash it all together with a potato masher or a hand blender or something.
Ladle it into jars and follow the standard canning techniques.
You can use peaches instead of the strawberries and raspberries. I decided to throw in both.
Makes a great topping for waffles, crepes, or ice cream.
