Went to the clinic
Since mechanteanemone had done well at kicking the bug she gave me (maybe) on antibiotics, I made an appointment at the Humboldt Open Door clinic last week. This morning I got a call saying my regular doctor was sick, but offering an alternate appointment that was actually earlier than the one I originally had (a nice surprise).
At the clinic there was a very polite sign requesting that people who were coughing wear the little face shield masks, so I put one on. There was also a very nice sign listing all the people at risk for H1N1 and the flu, who should be getting vaccine and flu shots as soon as possible - right next to the sign announcing that the clinic had neither H1N1 vaccine, nor flu vaccine.
I have a cold. Yep, that's it. That being the case I have decided to man up and go back about my business instead of lolling in bed all day.
