Taken during the last leg of our "Road to Hana" trip on Maui. I can't even begin to tell you how tired we were. We spent 12 hours on the road and navigated narrow, twisting roads that wound up and down cliffs. At times there were no guard rails and no way to see oncoming traffic until you rounded the turns. We had just finished bouncing down rough, deeply rutted tracks (can't call 'em roads at that point) for about an hour, and the road had just smoothed out again and widened enough for two vehicles. The glint of the sun on the water caught my eye as I was falling asleep against the window, so I was lucky to catch this shot.
