Knitting needles: 100 billion points
Knitting pattern instructions claiming the pink lady bag is SO EASY: 100 trillion points

I've finally gotten pretty good at knitting and purling. I've stopped getting my circular knitting needles tied up in knots. I've even figured out how to increase and decrease stitches.
But picking up stitches has proved to be far beyond my capabilities. I've watched at least eight different how to videos on the web. I've read instructions. I've considered a ritual animal sacrifice to the knitting goddesses. (Ok, the 'animal' was going to be a frozen barbecued beef rib.) I still can't figure out how to do this...this...thing.
And it's past my bedtime and I'm grouchy. *grumble* So I'm going to bed with the Sunday funnies, and I'm going to forget about knitting so I won't be tempted to stuff my knitting needles and yarn down the garbage disposal.
