Well, now it's officially been forever since I updated, so I'll give you the quick overview of my life for the past month.

The 4th was fun. I went to Nate's cabin and we lit off fireworks. We also watched some professional fireworks. Then I drove back to Delano and saw Delano's fireworks. They ROCKED!

My birthday was good, now I can drink. Nate came down, and we went out in the boat. He got burned. Then we went to the Basilica Block Party. It was fun, good bands, good food, and I got a 21 wrist band for the first time in my life. Then we went to the Hard Rock Cafe, where I had a screwdriver. After that we went to The Lodge Bar. I had an Amaretto Sour, a Long Island, a shot of something lemony, and a blue drink that I have no idea what was in it. Not as many people made it as I had hoped, but it was still fun.

Now for the good/bad news. I got a letter from NDSU on the day before my birthday telling me I didn't get in. I was disappointed, to say the least. I know I'm in at the U, so it didn't hurt quite as bad. But it was still a shitty birthday present. But now since I'm going to the U, I signed up for all my classes and I'm taking karate. That will be awesome. Plus I don't have class on Tuesdays or Fridays, so I can keep working for my boss doing gardening, and making some sweet dough.

Speaking of birthday presents, I got some sweet ones. From my parents I got an iriver. Not an iPod, an iriver. Look it up, they're pretty sweet. I also got some cash, and the "O Brother Where Art Thou" DVD from my sis. And from Nate I got a Fossil watch, an FM transmitter for my iriver, and a whole bunch of little alcohol sampler bottles.

More has probably happened to me since I wrote last, but I can't remember, and I don't really want to try.
I will tell you something really cool that happened to me at work today though. I was in the back yard of this one property, and I was bending down to turn on the hose, which, by the way, is in the middle of the garden. Silly place for a hose. Anyway, so I wasn't really looking around, and all of a sudden, this bird flies really close to my head, and then another, bigger bird swoops in after it. I'm trying to figure out what's going on, and I look up and see this hawk going after this littler bird, maybe 10 feet from me. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Nothing really happened though. The little bird got away, and the hawk gave up, or at least I couldn't see it anymore. But it was still pretty sweet.
It was only about 80 degrees today. It felt AMAZING. For the past week and a half or so the temps have been in the mid 90's with a really high heat index. It was disgusting. Like being in a furnace. It still might get hot again this week, but hopefully not as bad as last week.

One more thing. I'm a hurricane. A strong one, too. Take that Mexico!
(note: I'm not actually wishing death and destruction on Mexico, I just think it's kinda cool that a hurricane is named Emily)

Oh, and something else: my sister got the new Harry Potter book delivered to our house on Saturday. She was super excited, and I kinda was too. Those books are good, damn it! I'm thinking about making a list of all the books I've read, or at least the ones that I can think of, but at the moment, I don't have that much ambition. Maybe some day.

Well, kids, I have to clean my room up because my grandparents are coming tomorrow, and they get to sleep in my bedroom.
catch ya on the flip side

P.S. I'm listening to a song from 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith', the one in the beginning when they are dancing in Bogota. I love it!
