This was brilliant!

You had the characterizations down perfectly and the reasons you gave for Jeff not wanting to be with Annie were far more plausible than anything the show has offered so far. I'm still kind of hoping they go back and address that, because the "crave young flesh" thing really didn't fly with me as a valid reason for Jeff hooking up with Annie.

I really hope you continue this fic!

I know! They basically gave no explanation for anything in the premier. They filmed that kissing scene as two people who liked each other - simple - but they don't want to admit that, so they write around the reasons. Ugh.

Me too! It would be interesting to see where it would go. Though I have a feeling even if Annie did date a younger guy there would be something wrong with him too. I love that she just calls him such a butt at the end too.

Oh there's definitely going to be something wrong with any guy. If Annie dated someone her age, Jeff would have something to say (snarky or otherwise) about him being a little boy - cause really, there's no one that works with Annie but Jeff to Jeff, even if he hates that fact.

This was so good. Great characterization. So moving and heartbreaking for Annie. And ooh Jealous Jeff; loved that she messed with his head with that 'daddy' comment. I hope you continue with a sequel or something.

I love the daddy part too! LOL. I could just see it happening, since Annie tends to say things without realizing how they sound.

And I really thought the season premier was a bit hurtful to Annie :(
