So, when I was bored/procrastinating, I created my own 'international holiday' on Facebook, just because I see all these stupid 'holidays' someone dreams up like International Kiss and Italian Day, that get 1,000's of people to RSVP to them. I figured it was MY TURN to make up my own holiday, so I decided to make International Spin in a Circle Day---COMPLETELY unintelligent and pointless, needless to say. So far, I have 7 confirmed participants, 2 of which are complete strangers (which dorkily excites me) and 3 maybe participants. I'm finding that yes, it is true....Any event with the word 'international' on Facebook has followers, even if they just RSVP and don't participate. If I can achieve this in 4 minutes online, I can only IMAGINE what a cult leader could achieve after years scheming up a plan. And what better tool for this cult leader than Facebook?
