Steve went out and bought a copy of Wii Fit Plus a few days ago to get us off of our butts a little bit more effectively at home. This resulted in the "group humiliation" scheme of weighing in. We included Root and Echo in the weigh-in, which was kind of entertaining.
I like the new games. A lot. Too bad it claims I've gained five pounds since this summer. It lies, I tells ya!
I suppose the weight gain might have something to do with having discovered that I am capable of making all manner of delicious things (the problem being, of course, that I eat those delicious things when I'm done making them). A few nights ago I took my first crack at Mediterranean food, with limited success. Last night we had Sarah and Andrew over, and we made homemade
pho, homemade spring rolls, and then homemade snickerdoodles. That whole thing turned out amazing.
All in all it's been a really lazy week. Steve's been sick, so we haven't left the house much. When we went to the Asian market yesterday to buy ingredients for our pho, Steve and I managed to combine our powers of awesome to slam the trunk of the car into my right forearm. It's not broken. I don't even have the courtesy of a gigantic bruise. All I got was a lot of pain and a stupid goose egg bump.
...In related news, Ferrell is making macaroni and cheese and it smells awesome!
