Spammy McMe!

Sep 03, 2007 02:42

Yeah, this entry is actually the end of my spam for the evening. I swears it.

The last few days have been a lot of fun. I've been becoming more and more relaxed as school has gotten into full swing and I've settled into a schedule. It's really quite a nice feeling. It's not that I have less work to do (because I have more, actually)... it's that I'm getting into a routine and that makes getting things done easier for me.

The long weekend is definitely welcome. We spent most of yesterday cleaning, and then took a trip to Ikea for a bookshelf for our room, and for a table to put the TV on upstairs. We were successful (and now we have a DDR station set up!). More importantly, though, we got some really neat pictures of a monsoon! I've uploaded some of the pictures to ScrapBook. I'll be posting some of the best shots in my photo journal over the next couple weeks. I love posting to that journal. Scrolling back through the pictures just makes me ecstatically happy.

Today we had winstontlchow and jaa6 over for drinks and Wii. It was a ton of fun... I hope they come over again in the future! We also managed to snag six free D-Backs tickets that we have to use by September 19. I'm excited! I also uploaded a whole ton of new userpics that I'm quite happy with. I'm particularly fond of the "Your mom" one.

Tomorrow is going to be neat. I think we're going to try driving the Apache Trail. Hopefully the restaurant in Tortilla Flat will be open. After that, I'm going to be spending some time finishing my stats homework (which I am proud to say is about 2/3 done already). I'll also probably spend some time grading, which will be nice. I actually rather enjoy doing that.

Oh, since it's kicked off and everything I figure I can pimp it out here now: you guys should go check out hpcreate. I know it's a sponsored community and that makes it evil, but it's all about creativity and posting pictures, which makes it really nifty in my opinion. I'm really enjoying watching it! (I'm also pretty sure that you can guess who's maintaining it if you think about it for half a second...)

Really, that's about all I've got right now. I'm actually honest to God happy and peaceful right now. It's a beautiful feeling, and I hope I can hold onto it for a while before I swing again.
