Today's project involved paint
Since Steve spent the day redoing our bathroom downstairs, I decided to make myself useful too. I've been wanting to paint a rock art mural across a beam that hangs down in our kitchen ever since we moved in, so today I finally started...
Echo started helping me before I began...
And Root picked up where she left off.
I drew some inspirational pictures to tape onto the wall so I could have some practice with the motions and so I had something besides my computer or tablet to look at while the paint was active.
And here's the first half of the final product...
And the second half.
All that with two sponges and some q-tips (and paint of course). All free-hand. I was so scared that I would screw something up or hate the final product which would suck since we'd have to paint the whole beam, but I didn't screw up and I don't hate it. I'll paint the other side of the beam tomorrow since this side turned out great and I still have a bunch of pre-picked pictures that I haven't used up.
