A friend in need... indeed

I have had a relatively interesting weekend. A friend of mine has recently split from her husband, and to keep her mind off her woes, i agreed to go to a show with her. Feminist dance drama. I didn't know this before I signed on to go.

It certainly was unlike anything I have been to before. Not that that's a bad thing. It was just - different.

Two Towers was a little disappointing. I was so blown away by the first that I was expecting the same reaction - silly really, as most of the impact of the first was surprise. Thought it was a little padded to tell you the truth, and the Arwen stuff totally unnecessary.

Saturday spent at a party at Mark's place. Nice drinks, many drinks, new people. Met Inna, his "other" ex. She seems nice, if completely nothing like I expected. Don't know what I expected, but it wasn't her. Struck me as a little wishy-washy. All that from a 15 minute conversation...

Today: cricket in the park and gift registry. Actually managed to tie Jay down to an hours shopping before he started whinging. Have no idea if anyone would buy anything off it anyway, but there seemed no harm. Really want a couple of things, which will purchase myself if they don't.

Can't sleep, hence the 12:20am timeslot. Will try again though, have to maintain new years getting to work early resolution. Have broken no smoking resolution already, but made me quite ill, so that should assist me saying no next time!
