We've had two birthdays in this apartment in one week. Today was Enka's bday.
Normally, Enka would've helped decorate, but she couldn't this time cuz it was for her! Since Jackie's decorations had a theme, I felt like this one should too. Last night I decided on Disney princesses and again printed off a bunch of coloring pages. There are TONS of Sleeping Beauty. She was my first favorite, so I can't complain too much.
Enka doesn't like sweets as much as Americans do and she requested a pecan pie instead of a cake. The girl likes nuts apparently. This was my first time making a pecan pie. I burnt it a little. But it wasn't anything some whip cream couldn't fix.
I also made cinnamon rolls and gave them to Brother Felt's class to surprise her there. And then I contacted her other teacher for today to tell him to have the class sing Happy Birthday to her. She was totally surprised and totally loved it. I'm very glad.
So the party was awesome. Enka made all her friends do something special as their gift to her. I sang a song, so did Bat (in Mongolian no less; mine was merely in German), Eddie as well as Jackie taught us a card game, Roma taught us how to play Russian mafia (he's Russian), and Katya played some music and we danced. It was tons of fun. But I'm extremely tired, having stayed up late or gotten up early to cook and decorate twice in one week. Plus I had a big project due this week. I'm meeting with my teacher about it tomorrow.
Goodnight.
