Who: EVERYONE
When: THE WEEKEND.
What: Lets all have fun at the ice skating rink that was put onto the Olympus deck

So, yes there's a huge ice skating rink in the middle of the Olympus deck. So everyone grab a date and have some fun. Or just skate by yourselves... who really gives a damn.

Ryou liked the snow. With no Domino people in sight, he found himself wandering outside. The deck had become so wonderful. Ice skating looked like so much fun. Why not give it a try?

How beautiful! How pretty!

Deedlit harboured a rather thrilled smile as she lifted her hands to catch the snow that was falling from the... Well... The sky she supposed. Though it was unlike any sky she'd ever seen and it was nothing like Lodoss' sky.

There was ice beneath her feet and had she been back home, she would have used the spirit of the wind to prevent any sort of breakage. She'd heard of the skating rink, but didn't seem to know what that was. As expected, there was nothing more surprising than the little shoes with the blades. Some people twirled. Some people appeared to be performing fancy maneuvers.

I'll practise here first! And then maybe out there a little later!

At least that was what she told herself. Lifting her hands, she adjusted her green cloak. Then she pushed her weight onto one foot and forced herself to twirl, failing to observe her surroundings. Then again, since her arrival, it wasn't like her to pay attention. Unfortunately.

"Oof!" Ryou wasn't expecting that, and the impact caused him to flail just a bit before regaining his balance. He turned around to see who it was, "Oh dear, are you---", and stopped. The woman looked like a Duel Monsters card, probably the Elven Guardian's sister. Definitely a Yugi-like card. "...okay?"

Her hand must have hit him in the face. Or somewhere like that. She whipped around and instantly began to reach her hand for her scabbard.

And then she remembered that it wasn't there. And neither was her bow. Her weapons had been confiscated when she was brought onto the ship. This person, however... She examined his clothes. He was looking pretty casual. Casual? That was the word for it, she guessed.

"Oh! Ah... Heh. I didn't see you! You're just about the cutest thing I've seen on this ship since I got here!" Extending a hand with those long fingers, she patted him on the head. "I'm fine! Are you okay?"

She was incredibly tall, and those ears---.... Did she just say he was cute? He flushed slightly under his moppy hair. "I--- I'm perfectly fine." He smiled. "I'm Bakura Ryou."

Deedlit laughed, a sound that came to her so easily. It was thrilling to meet someone other than the nice Hatori Miki that she stayed with.

"Bakura Ryou," she repeated. "What a funny name!" Well, he definitely wasn't from Lodoss. Otherwise, he likely would have been Bakura of Ryou or something like that. "My name's Deedlit."

Leaning over, she began to look him over closely with emerald green eyes, "You're sure you're okay?"

"Just Bakura will do fine," Ryou added. "It's nice to meet you," he added with a slight bow. "And I'm perfectly fine." Ryou had taken quite a beating in the past. Getting bumped into during skating wasn't much of an impact.

"Just Bakura, then," Deedlit decided, although he'd told her to call him that. What this these types of people do, though? She thought about the things she'd seen and finally offered her right hand.

"It's not that I wasn't paying attention," she began, even though she really wasn't. "I've never seen a... skating rink or anything like that. I was curious, and I was going to try a little later. The strange little shoes with the swords on the bottom..." And by that, she meant the skates, and then she pointed to her boots, apparel that seemed terribly primitive compared to the technology aboard the ship.

"You've never skated before?" Ryou blinked. Perhaps elves don't skate? Well to start somewhere, "These are skates," he said, pointing at the boots. "I could teach you how to skate, if you'd like."

Deedlit shook her head. Was that really so hard to believe? "Skates? Those don't exist in Lodoss." Then she paused for a moment and her cheeks turned a little pink. He was offering to help her? Was that really okay? After a moment of thinking, she figured it would probably be okay.

"You wouldn't mind, Bakura?"

"I wouldn't mind at all," Ryou replied, smiling sweetly. "At least you're standing up so that's a start."

"Start with small motions like gliding." Ryou showed her a small glide.

He had a valid point. At least she was standing and not lying face down on the ice, or in the snow.

She watched him for a moment and then outstretched her arms after adjusting her cloak once more. If that got in the way, she'd have to remove it entirely, and show just exactly how odd her apparel was. Then she made a very tiny glide.

...Maybe. "Like this then?"

"Yes, that's exactly it," Ryou said encouragingly. He was quite amazed that she could even stand with all that armor. She very much reminded him of the Elven Guardian. It was rather strange.

Of course, if he asked her about this Elven Guardian business, she would simply look at him, confused. She repeated the gesture with a grand smile. Oh! If Parn could see her now! He would think her even lovelier!

Well--

"Oh, good! It's a beneficial maneuver, right? Something that is good on the field of battle. For evasion." Deedlit didn't know much of life outside of battles. Lodoss never had peace.

"Well I'm not so certain that ice skating would be very useful in battle..." She certainly was an odd one, Ryou reasoned.

"No...?" Deedlit's lips turned down and she regarded Ryou carefully. "So if it's not for battling, what is it used for?"
