Too late.

There was a knock at Train's door which was done mostly out of politeness since both parties could easily pick a lock.

Jing had never been sick before...... EVER..... he had been cold (which he was), he had had sore throats (had that at the moment too), he had had fuzzy vision only once before (although now he had it again), it was his first time experiencing the inability to breathe through his nose and being winded by simple stairs (that was annoying as hell). He coughed lightly and knocked again.

Oh yes, and the............... itching.

Well, that was a new one too.

"Train open up," he coughed, a light sweat across his brow from the stairs.

Train froze. Crap. Well no going back now. He sighed and opened the door. Jing... did not look okay. He didn't even look like he should be STANDING right now.

"If you get me sick, I'll never forgive you."

Jing glared at Train with hazed watery grays eyes. He pushed himself off the door frame and with no reply made to leave. Well, he supposed he'd deal with it on his own.

"Hey wait!" Train frowned and grabbed Jing's arm. "You're gonna die if you don't take a break." He pulled the other in through the door. He didn't want to be held responsible if Jing decided to pass out or something.

"You'll get sick," he hissed back, not at all amused that the one who had invited him in the first place had shown him such a greeting. For god's sake he SAID he was sick what did Train expect?

"Calm down." Train pulled Jin in further and shut the door. "I've been sick before anyways. It's not like it'll be anything new." Except maybe the itching... Maybe he'd keep a longer distance between himself and the bandit.

He sighed, tired and coughed as he let Train drag him inside to the slightly better apartment. He leaned against the door and closed his eyes, tired. Jing could ignore the itching because honestly it wasn't that difficult to ignore when one had dealt with worse pains. People only found scratching so difficult because they had the means to "relieve" the pain.

No, Jing was much more concerned about the actual symptoms. Like breathing and the fact that it hurt to do so.

Train looked over the self-proclaimed Bandit King and moved to the couch. "You're acting like you've never been sick before." He motioned for Jing to sit by him. The guy looked like he was going to collapse right then and there if he didn't sit down soon.

"I haven't," he wheezed as he pushed himself off the door and made for the couch. "I've never been sick before," he admitted, his cheeks flushed as he sat down on the couch and leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees. He still didn't have his jacket.

Oh, he didn't. Train would have to give that to him eventually. Too bad he didn't remember.

"What?!" the sweeper blinked. He had to be joking, right? Everyone got sick sometime in their lives. Well... maybe Jing's time was just late?

Jing opened an eye and looked at Train. Was it odd that he hadn't been sick before?

"What do you mean what? I don't lie remember?" he said as he shivered.

It was odd. Usually people got sick before they were...whatever Jing's age was. "Yeah..." He noticed the other shiver and sighed. "Lie down and get some rest." he said, standing up.

Well Jing had no age at the moment so it was a moot point. "Train..." he said, "I'm.... not sure what to do in these situations. Kir's been sick and so I cared for him, but... I'm gonna have to say sorry now cause I'm pretty sure I'm an awful patient."

Train just shook his head and went to get some milk from the fridge. He wasn't about to make soup or anything, but he could offer milk... which he was pretty sure was bad for colds but whatever. "I've seen worse." Worse being himself... or even Sven. But that was different!

Jing didn't want milk, he liked it but everything tasted wrong when he had attempted to eat, he didn't even want to imagine what milk might taste like.

"I wouldn't know, sick birds are different from sick humans, no matter what they say," he chuckled.

Milk would taste bland and thick. Which was not the way milk should taste.

"Can't argue with that. Sick Cats are even worse."
