Who: Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro
When: October 10th morning
What: getting costumes
Warnings: none? XD
Zoro didn't do parties. Well, he didn't do parties unless there was a large amount of booze involved. He came to the assumption that the party would have a good deal amount of liquor involved. Now, the only question was who he was going to dress up as. As much as he hated to admit it, he was going to go to Luffy for help on it. Down the hall and a knock on teh door. "Luffy, open up."
If Volkner and Ace weren't going to open the door, Luffy would then wake up to the knocking door. "Mnnn...." Luffy groaned and he let out an obvious yawn. He slowly made his way out to the front door and answered it. "Mmm? Zoro?" It was still too early in the morning. Or was it? "W-What is it...?" He rubbed his eyes to clear his vision a bit.
"I need a costume." It was simple and to the point. He wasn't sure what he was going to wear or anything along those lines. And he had no idea where he could find a costume on the ship anyway. Zoro....was still a bit unnerved by all teh automated things. The doors opening and closing, the television... everything was a bit weird to him.
"Costume?" Wipe eyes here again. "For what?" Luffy didn't get it. What in the world was Zoro talking about? Luffy doesn't know why Zoro was talking about costumes to begin with. "Are... You're not being stupid again, are you?" Insert sly smile here. Hehe. Luffy loved doing that to Zoro. Just then, he jumped at Zoro and gave him a hug. "Hehe. Mornin!"
Zoro smacked Luffy on the head. "Didn't you reach the annoucement. There's some kind of costume party you have to go to. Which means you have to get a costume, genius." It was a good thing Luffy was light, because these hugs were getting more and more common. "And if you don't go you get in trouble or something. I don't get it."
"Huh? Really?" Luffy said, tilting his head a bit. He was wide awake now, and he was with Zoro after all. "Well then we can go get costumes and stuff. I think I still have money left and stuff." Because it seemed like Ace was getting the food and Luffy appreciated that very much. "And we can get some at that place they call a mall. It's REALLY HUGE building and we could get lost, yanno? But I'm sure they got some there!"
This was Luffy, they were going to get lost and it was going to be hardcore. "You should go get dressed then." Of course, Zoro was up early simply because he worked out every morning at the exact same time. "Fine, but if you get us lost I'm going to be upset."
"We're not gonna get lost, Zoro! I've seen it before! Be right back!" And Luffy dashed into his room to get dressed. He really didn't care too much about what we wore. He threw on a white shirt with some orange pattern on it and a pair of blue jeans that were tattered right below the knees. He got them that way. "Let's go then!"
Of course he did. Zoro wasn't going to question it anyway. "Right. We're not going to get lost." Zoro knew they were going to get lost even if Luffy had been in teh mall before. It was just the way things were.
Even if they did get lost, they'd find it eventually. So off they headed upstairs to the Olympus Deck. At least Luffy knew how to do that much. And whoa... the deck was a little crowded. "HUh... Hey Zoro! Can we eat first? I'm starvin!!" And when Luffy was starving, it usually meant that it was a bad thing.
No. If Luffy wasn't starving it was a bad thing. "I wasn't expecting to get this far without eating." It was the truth, he had figured Luffy would have stuffed his face back at home, but oh well. "You know, I don't know where crap is here. So you'll have to take me someplace."
To their left was a Chinese place called Fu-Xing. Luffy just absolutely LOVED it there. "THERE!" Luffy yelled out in excitement. He grabbed Zoro's arm and ran over there in a hurry. "They've got the awesomest food here, Zoro! You should get some, too!" Sadly there was a line, and Luffy learned about lines. The hard way.
He didn't really care about lines,. There were lines in corner booths and the like anyway. "I'm fine, I ate breakfast before I went to work out." Of course, he wasn't going to change the fact that he was a workaholic. "Let's get something and get to this costume shop...thing."
Thankfully, it didn't take too long for Luffy to get his food since the lines went by pretty fast. So they took the food to go and Luffy stuffed his face while they were on the way to the mall. Which was pretty noticeable that not even Luffy would miss it. Walking by a trashcan, the captain threw the container away and pointed. "There it is, Zoro! The mall!"
"That huge building?!" Zoro didn't like this palce at all. The entire place was completely ass backwards. Everything was done automatuically there were huge buildings with people being spit out of them...though Zoro did find the gym and thought it was the best invention ever.
"Yep! Let's go!!!" And once again, Luffy took Zoro's hand and ran towards the mall, not even caring about people in the way. He'd dodge them fairly well. He used to be flexible, didn't he? :D Anyway. They were now inside and found that the mall was about 6 stories high. "Whooooooaaaaa! I don't remember this place being SO HIGH!"
"What do you mean you don't remember it was so high. This place is huge..." Luffy was really odd at times. He was just as hyper, but it seemed weird to see him not stretching his way through things...
Because if he could stretch though things, he would've done it by now. Thankfully, his speed was alright that it caught up to his stretch-iness halfway. "Well, let's get goin! I think it's up on the third floor or somethin! Hehe!" Grabbing Zoro's hand again, Luffy then started heading for the escalator, which looked to be a moving set of stairs.
Wait, he was going up the moving stairs. Oh hell no. Zoro immediately put on the brakes to that idea. And he was NOT going to move. "You expect me to go up that deathtrap!?" Zoro did not like new things like this. They were weird and probably a bit dangerous.
Luffy was already up a bit but when Zoro said no to that, he jumped back down and landed on top of Zoro. "Ahahaha. Don't be dumb, Zoro. You don't see it killing people in here, do ya? Quit being such a scaredy pants, Zoro. You're better than that!" And Luffy gave him a grin, never mind the fact that he was on top of the mosshead.
"Hey! I'm not afraid of anything!" And just to prove it, Zoro marched up the escalator with Luffy still on top of him. "See, I jsut went up the damn moving stairs. I hope you're happy." And then Zoro realized he would have to do it one more time. "Damn it."
The captain then got off of Zoro to walk next to him and possibly poke fun at him even more. "Aww, c'mon, Zoro. It's not that bad!" Never mind the fact that they were probably being stared at, but Luffy wouldn't really care. "We gotta go up one more! I think it's that place with all the orange things in the front and that scarecrow!"
"What does a scarecrow have to do with this party...." Zoro decided to just give up and go up the escalator this time. This was Luffy, and the captain wouldn't do anything too stupid. Of course, when Zoro thought about that....he knew it was a total lie.
Hey now, that's not a total lie! If Zoro was so scared, Luffy would be willing to hold his hand! ANYWAY. So they went up the escalator. And sure enough, there was a building that was... rather dark and mysterious. Full of fake spider webs. Well, whaddya know. It's the halloween store. "Aha! That must be it!"
"This is ridiculous..." A store full of cheesey costumes and decorations. "Okay. So, I need a costume....I want to be a samurai." Simple and easy, and something he would be comfortable in.
Luffy was hyper and couldn't decide which he wanted. "Wow!!! I can be Frankenstein, Zoro! Hehe!" But wait. Who's Frankenstein? Luffy didn't know, but the costume looked cool anyway. "A samurai, huh? I think they've got a few costumes o' those! You can use your swords with the costume, Zoro! Awesome!" Never mind the fact that they took Zoro's swords away when he came here.
"I don't have my swords" Zoro mumbled. It was like he left home without a clean pair of underwear or something equally as important. "I mean, I don't even know where they went. I woke up here with them gone....can't find them. Nobody knows where they're at...I'm seriously pissed about this." He blamed Jing, because Jing was the thief on the ship. Simple enough.
"Aww..." Luffy sympathized. "But don't feel so bad, Zoro. Remember? I told ya I couldn't stretch anymore. It sorta sucks but it isn't all that bad! I'm still as strong as ever!" And he grinned. He was, after all, still very flexible. He really didn't want Zoro feeling so bad about things since this place treated Luffy very well. "C'mon. Let's go look for that samurai costume!"
Well, Zoro hadn't seen the treatment. "Hey, at least you can take a bathe now without drowning." It was something to look forward too. Zoro always wondered how Luffy felt about not being able to swim. Especially when the stretchy one lived on a boat and was a pirate.
"Hehe, it's awesome! They got these things called hot tubs! I gotta show ya!" Luffy was all smiles and then they searched for a samurai costume. Soon enough, they ran across one. The package said Meiji Samurai on it and figured that's what it was. "Hey. Is this one good?" Even though Luffy had no idea what a samurai was, the costume looked pretty cool.
"It's fine." Zoro really could care less about what the costume looked like. In the end he really didn't want to be forced into something else someone wanted him in. "Hot...tub?" Of course, he simply thought of Ace when that was said. Well, Ace's makeshift boat at least. "Well, you can show me tonight."
"Haha, you bet!" And Luffy got excited over something else again. Then again, he was easily excitable. "Well, what costume should I get then, Zoro? I have to get one, too!" So now what would Zoro suggest for him? Because Luffy had absolutely no idea what he should be wearing to that Halloween party.
Did Luffy want Zoro to seriously pick something out for him? The swordsman that is probably so frustrated with life in general (among other things). thus, Zoro decided that Luffy should be a cat...a very....sexy...cat... "This."
"Uhh..." Luffy looked at it. He looked at it at the front, back, and sideways. "Umm... Okay!" And he grinned! He grabbed one of them and started to take off but then stopped in his tracks. "Eheheheh... We gotta pay for these, I almost forgot! Eheheh..." Yeah, he learned that lesson a long time ago. The hard way. And yay, the line is long. REALLY long.
Okay, he wasn't expecting Luffy to agree to that. One thing Zoro knew is that he was going to take a cold shower after the end of that night. "Eh heh...That really should be something you remember. We don't need to be wanted here too." because, it was nice not having people chasing you down every day.
Too bad that was something that Luffy sort of missed. Sort of. But there were many other things that were more important. For one, Zoro is here. Too bad the line to pay is really really long, though. Damn all these people who want costumes. "Aww... these lines are so long."
He kept on waiting and waiting and waiting. At least, they finally got up to the counter..luckily everything Zoro was given on his card was still there. "Okay...thanks..." he took the bag and waited for Luffy to pay for his...cat...costume. Zoro was NOT thinking about that anymore.
Thankfully, Luffy still had money in that card of his. For messing around so much and eating so much, it was a miracle that he still had currency on that card. "Awesome! Where did ya wanna go to next, Zoro?" There was just a lot of things to do in this place. Then again, Luffy's been here for almost a year.
"I don't know. I'm new to this place." Hell, Zoro hadn't even been out of his room very much. He went to the gym and the store nothing else really. "You can take me whereever you want. I don't really have anything else to do but nap."
